Week 24 at School

This week has been frustrating, trying to deal with Tanzanians ways (or no ways) and come out smiling.  At the end of the day it is just another week.

Today I again went out to Smith Campus and although I was prepared for the outcome, it was still disappointing.  Having gone out there to watch a few of them referee, I ended up refereeing myself as they were all occupied.  The game itself was a walkover 77-17.

For those reading the online blog, there is more if you click on the Read more>> button below.

We have a new school director who started this week and appears to be settling in quite well.

When we arrived home tonight there was a bunch of roses at the door.  No note, just the roses.  I still can't work out why somebody would have sent me roses.  Denise knows it wasn't me who bought them...as I always say, they die.  Plastic roses last forever....

Tomorrow morning it is up at 4.30am for the Safari Marathon.  I am cheating as I have changed to the 5km run.  I am also the driver of a school bus to get us in there as I didn't think it was fair getting a driver out of bed at that hour just to drive us in.  Afterwards we are having a BBQ back at school.  If the weather is like it has been lately it should be a great day.

Only a short blog this week as I am running out of things to write about without repeating myself.  Must be time to go away again somewhere.  Any suggestions?

Until next time.
