I have a replacement.
After many months of looking, my replacement has been selected. Now all I have to do is get them up to speed with what I do and what I have been trying to achieve. All this at a time when we will be getting more friends visiting us from Oz. One could be here as soon as tomorrow, but we are waiting confirmation on that.
To prepare for my departure and handover I have been spending some late nights documenting processes and procedures and getting contract documents in place for long term arrangements.
One of my visitors knows a little about contract management so I will get her to review what I have done if she gets really bored and I can get her away from The Hole.
Anybody else out there want to review documentation for me?
There is still a lot of pressure to stay, or at least come back soon, and we haven't said absolutely not. We will consider that proposition once we are home and back with our Oz family and friends - you know who you all are.
If the summer weather we get in Arusha is normal, I like summer here - not too hot with low humidity. It does get into the 30c, but unless you are in the sun it is bearable, and at night it's cool enough to sleep. This is not the case 1 hour down the road at Moshi. They are several hundred metres below us and closer to the coast so get hotter with humidity.
That's all for this week....as you can tell I'm running out of things that are new, but I'll see what I can think of.
Until next week.
Can't believe your time is almost up.
